Noel Gallagher Tells Jack Wilshere to Stop Smoking
Manchester City fan Noel Gallagher has criticised Jack Wilshere's smoking and drinking habits, with the Arsenal midfielder having been caught puffing away twice in the last two years.
The former Oasis frontman told talkSPORT (h/t the Mirror's Liam Corless):
"You think of the great midfielders in the game now, like [David] Silva and the Barcelona players – they're athletes. They don't smoke and drink.
This lad has been caught twice. That's what sets him apart and what links him to Gazza [Paul Gascoigne].
That catches up with you in the end. If you are smoking and drinking you are not an athlete.
The great players in the league dedicate themselves to be the best, and smoking and drinking isn't going to cut it.

Wilshere's manager, Arsene Wenger, has defended the star in the past. Talking in February, he said: "I talked to Jack. He is sorry for what happened. He is not a smoker. He had a day off the next day. Down to him to master his life."
