Steinย noted Damian Lillard and DeMar DeRozan may not participate at the camp, despite their expected attendance, while adding Kevin Durant, Kevin Love, Chandler Parsons and Kyrie Irving will all be there despite recovering from injury.
The minicamp, which is being hosted from Aug. 11-13 in Las Vegas, will feature non-contact drills and is in essence an opportunity for Team USA stars to reunite and play together once again, especially players like Carmelo Anthony who have been out of action or haven't had the opportunity to play for the national team in some time.
Team USA will once again be the favorite to take home the gold in Rio, as it did in 2012. With a strong cast of players already taking part in team activities and many other big names to follow, Team USA looks as strong as ever and will be expected to dominate next summer.
