
10-Foot Alligator Takes a Nap, Chooses Minor League Dugout for Bed
Florida struck again on Friday, sending forth one of its large, scaly citizens to drop in on the action at Charlotte Sports Park—home to the Charlotte Stone Crabs, an advanced Class A minor league team in Port Charlotte, Florida.
Stone Crabs pitcher Kyle McKenzie (h/t CBSSports.com's Mike Axisa) tweeted a picture of the unannounced guest: a huge alligator seemingly conked out in the shade of the visitors dugout.

McKenzie thinks the alligator probably had a rough Thirsty Thursday and will be very confused when it wakes up.
I've reached out to the Stone Crabs about the gator's media availability but have yet to hear back. Hopefully, it makes it home safely and returns Chubbs' hand before he leaves.
