Dan Herron Tendered by Colts, Jerrell Freeman Receives Qualifying Offer
The Indianapolis Colts were busy Thursday.
The team’s official website reported, “The Indianapolis Colts today made a qualifying offer to restricted free agent ILB-Jerrell Freeman and made exclusive rights tenders to OLB-Daniel Adongo, RB-Daniel 'Boom' Herron and OLB-Cam Johnson.”
Linebacker Jerrell Freeman and running back Daniel “Boom” Herron are the two most notable names on that list.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Herron made a name for himself as the starting running back for Ohio State in his college days, but he came on at the end of the 2014 season for the Colts. He finished with 351 rushing yards on the season, but he picked up 170 rushing yards, 128 receiving yards and two touchdowns as the Colts’ main running back in three playoff games.
He is also versatile enough to play some special teams.

As for Freeman, he topped the 100-tackle barrier in each of the last three seasons and tallied a combined nine sacks, nine forced fumbles and three interceptions in that time frame.
Linebacker Daniel Adongo came to the Colts as a free agent before the 2013 season, but he spent the majority of that year on the practice squad. He was placed on injured reserve before the start of the 2014 campaign.
Indianapolis traded for linebacker Cam Johnson in 2013, but he only played in a single game last season before being put on injured reserve as well.
