Mike Brown Injury: Updates on England Star's Status and Six Nations Return

The England rugby team have confirmed that full-back Mike Brown will not be fit to feature in the upcoming clash with Ireland in the Six Nations.

Brown Ruled Out of Ireland Clash

Brown will play no part in the crucial game with Ireland on Sunday after losing his battle to overcome a concussion:

The 29-year-old was knocked unconscious during the team’s previous 47-17 victory over Italy and has been undergoing protocols for concussion since. But after failing to pass a stage, he has been deemed unfit to feature.

Brown has blossomed into a vital player for Stuart Lancaster’s side over the past couple of years and England will miss his assured presence in the back line. As noted by the Press Association (h/t The Guardian), Alex Goode is on standby to replace the Harlequins man.
