Redskins Fan Spends More Than $1,500 to Buy Robert Griffin III's Used Cast
Being a fan will make you do crazy things.
Washington Redskins fan Rich Bruno is one of those who will do just about anything to show his support for his team. When it comes to Redskins memorabilia, he needs to have it.
According to The Washington Post's Dan Steinberg, Bruno was the highest bidder for the cast that Robert Griffin III wore when he dislocated his ankle this past season. What was the winning bid? A mere $1,522.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Griffin auctioned the cast off in order to raise money for his Family of 3 foundation. Thanks to a 26-year-old student, he raised quite a bit.
When Bruno found out that he had the winning bid, he wanted to tell everyone he knew.
Given that Griffin wore the cast for some time, there's sure to be a stench that comes along with the collectible. Bruno isn't sure if the cast will smell but hopes that it does.
“Probably,” Bruno said. “The worse it smells, the happier I am, because that makes it more unique. Some people have RGIII game-worn jerseys, and they’re stained or whatever. I might have his foot stink. That’s special to me.”
As a podiatry student and a Redskins fan, this may be the crown jewel of Bruno's collection.
