Spotlighting The Indies: Jack Evans, The Aerial Daredevil!

Matthew HesterSenior Writer IAugust 8, 2009

Hello everyone. As always I would like to thank all of you again for joining me today.

When most people talk about pro wrestling the names that are mentioned more often than not are WWE, ROH, and TNA. While those three for mentioned companies are considered the top wrestling companies.

What we don’t hear about very often is the true heart beat of pro wrestling. It seems that people that follow wrestling don’t even talk about the Indy scene. While the big dogs carry the ratings, it is the Indy scene that is the backbone of the business.

That is why I decided to start a brand new series called "Spotlighting the Indies."

It will be a series strictly showing the wrestling world the talent that is hardly ever talked about. This is a series that I am doing for the love of the business, not the recognition.

I can not do this alone though folks, that is why I have acquired a couple of BR's top writers to help me with it. I am proud to  announce that James Triggs and Scott Beeby will be helping me with this series.

James Triggs is not only an excellent writer, but I would even dare say his knowledge of wrestling surpasses mine.

Scott Beeby is an up-and-coming writer on BR. He does great work and I would highly recommend checking out his stuff.

I will let them tell you more about themselves once they start doing their articles in the series. Needless to say though, they are great talents, and it is an honor to be working with them.

I would still like to have one more writer on board so if anyone is interested please contact any of us three. It is a great way to not only expand your mind but also the minds of others.

I am going to kick of the series with a guy who has been around for a while. He has is a wrestler who has been in ROH, TNA, Dragon Gate, and he is currently in Mexico with the AAA.

Evans would start his wrestling career in the year 2000. With his training from the Hart brothers he would gain instant credibility in the ring. What makes this veteran of the Indy scene special though is his ability to fly.

He can pull off some insane aerials that would put most high fliers to shame. He is the first wrestler ever to perform a double rotation moonsault. It is a sight to see as you will find out soon.

He has bounced around the Indy scene for the most of his career. His most notable work is with Dragon Gate and ROH. He did spend a little time with TNA that didn’t last to long though after complaints of stiff work.

He has waged war with many Indy greats like Steve Corino, Alex Shelley, Teddy Hart, CM Punk and he even battled with Ricky Steamboat. Right now he is in the AAA "Asistencia Asesoria y Administacion."

He has wrestled with and against Konnan and his highly praised in Mexico. He is a former AWA heavyweight champ, JAPW tag team champ and PWG tag champ. The word of his work is spread by many and he is worth the time to check out.

He has even been spotlighted in one of wrestling’s most prominent columns: Slam Sports.

Here is a list and look at some of his most notable moves.

Inverted Huracanrana, Phoenix Splash, Reverse 450 Splash, 630 Senton, Standing 450 splash, Flying Skytwister Face Kick, Jumping Sitdown Bomb, Springboard 450 splash, Corkscrew Body Attack.

I have included a link of some of the kid’s moves for all of you.

I would like to thank you all again for spending some time with me today.

As always have a safe day and God bless.
