the new york jets step into a unknown this year will they be the 8-3 team that stepped on the field to beat the cardinals, titans and patriots last year or the team that was embarrassed by the chargers and dolphins in the last game of the season. watching that last dolphins game at home in Florida surrounded by nothing but dolphins fans and one Giant fan telling me i told you so. I felt terrible and honestly didn't know if the jets with Favre most likely retiring where the jets would be this upcoming season but the same way i felt I'm sure owner woody Johnson felt as well, with all the talk of Johnson only interested is selling psl's he has stepped up since owning the jets , hiring good coaches and trying to bring in free agents that can change the mindset of the team and fans. he spends money so the jets can compete, some franchises have greedy owners that are not football savy and there teams suffer from lack of support and money from there owners.
as the months went on i saw the jets hire a defense minded coach and arguably the best in the league, and following Ryan was Bart Scott and Jim Leonhard as well as marques Douglass the jets also picked up a man named Lito Sheppard who has 18 career int's and will be 28 this year this pickup was needed because Dwight Lowery is not ready yet to be a number 2 corner and may never be, with Sheppard on the other side of Revis it evens the playing field, go ahead don't throw to Revis but you better be ready to chase Sheppard down when he is running down the sideline for a touchdown and with Leonhard who knows ryan's system.and rhodes a neglected pro bowler by the media the jets will be hard to beat.this jets team rides on revis stepping up and being that lockdown corner. if this happens the jets will be a very good defense and the people behind revis are not to shabby themselves.
