Noah Battling Ankle Injury
Friday, Dec. 5
Mike McGraw of the Chicago Daily Herald initially reported Noah was questionable for the team's game against the Golden State Warriors on Dec. 6 with an ankle injury.
The Bulls will use Pau Gasol as their primary center with Noah out. Rookie Nikola Mirotic, who has had trouble getting consistent playing time in the Bulls' crowded frontcourt, should also see extended minutes.
Chicago had already been without Noah three times this season and followed a similar rotation pattern.
Noah, who won the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year award last season, has struggled to match his 2013-14 campaign from a numbers standpoint. His continued adjustment to playing next to Gasol and a slight minutes drop has contributed, but Noah hasn't been the same player.
