Smith Exits Week 12 With Arm Injury
Andre Smith was injured in Sunday's game against the Houston Texans in the first quarter and is not expected to return after suffering an arm injury, the team announced:
Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports later reported the early diagnosis for the lineman:
Smith was injured while working as part of the Bengals' punt coverage team. The 2014 season has been mired with injuries for the Bengals right tackle. He's struggled to stay in the lineup with an ankle injury and has not been able to get into a rhythm throughout the season.
Cincinnati's rushing offense has only been intermittently effective, partially as a result of Smith's absences. It'll be interesting to see how much success Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill have if Smith is out of the lineup for another prolonged stretch.
