Father Puts Son's Choice of Supporting Manchester United or City on eBay Auction
A man has put his baby boy's football allegiance on auction through eBay, raising money for charity for the right to decide whether he is a Manchester City or Manchester United fan.
Ian Charters is hoping to make a donation to Bliss, a charity specialising in support of families who have premature or sick babies.
His son, Eddie, spent the first four weeks of his life in hospital—but happily is now healthy.

The listing, set to go live on eBay on Thursday night, reads:
"I live in Greater Manchester, but originally come from down south so I have no affiliation with either of the Manchester clubs. I’ll be fighting a losing battle trying to get my son to support my team (Watford). Frankly, I wouldn’t want to inflict that on the poor child anyway.
"
Mr Charters adds that though he cannot force Eddie to go with the team that wins the auction, he will do "all I can to encourage him."
That includes posting him in the winning colours at the end of the auction, buying him a shirt, changing the curtains in his room to the right colours and taking him to the occasional game.
