Luis Enrique Compares Lionel Messi to NBA Legend Wilt Chamberlain

New Barcelona boss Luis Enrique is up to speed with his basketball history. 

The Cristiano Ronaldo-Lionel Messi comparisons and debates are endless, so naturally, their comparisons have now hit hardwood legends. 

Elche boss Fran Escriba likened Cristiano Ronaldo to NBA icon Michael Jordan, so after Messi's exploits over the weekend, where he was involved in five of Barcelona's six goals against Granada, the Argentine boss related Messi to a different basketball legend—Wilt Chamberlain.

Per Goal, Enrique put him alongside the man who once scored 100 points in a game.

If Cristiano Ronaldo is like Michael Jordan, then Messi is like Wilt Chamberlain, who scored 100 points in one game. 

I considered taking Messi off to rest him, but watching him in action is such a big joy that I preferred to have him on the pitch for 90 minutes. 

He is very generous with his assists, and it really is a joy to watch him. He has been touched by the magic wand. 

Messi scoring 400 goals? Most of us didn't even score that many goals if we counted all those at school, on the streets, wherever...
