Timothy RappSep 15, 2014

After one of the most bizarre and entertaining games in recent memory for AC Milan, a 5-4 win over Parma, the club received a bit of bad news, as keeper Diego Lopez is nursing an injury.

AC Milan's official website has more, along with the injury to Alex:

"

He will be evaluated in a couple of weeks. The defender meanwhile is struggling with bruising to a muscle in his right thigh. In a game that included two red cards and a magnificent goal from Jeremy Menez that included him intercepting a pass in the box, dribbling past the keeper by sending the ball one way and running around him outside of the touchline before finishing by somehow chipping a backheel, it was an astounding gaffe by Lopez that might be remembered the most.

Late in the game with Milan holding a two-goal lead, Mattia De Sciglio attempted to play a pass back to Lopez. The keeper clearly wasn't ready for the ball, however, and he flailed about awkwardly in an attempt to stop it. He could not. Football Vines shared the ready-made sports blooper:

The former Real Madrid man was brought to Milan to bring some stability and class to the keeper position. But that gaffe—and if he is indeed sidelined for any period of time—won't be seen as the best of starts to his time in Italy.

The sooner he can get back on the field and prove his class, the better for both he and the club.
