Alejandro Sabella, the Argentina coach, quickly gained Internet fame after he became so engrossed in a chance for his side during their World Cup quarter-final against Belgium that he almost fell over.  

And after the Vine did the rounds, the next thing was the Photoshopping.

First we thought we'd marry two memes, with #ThingsTimHowardCouldSave still fresh in the memory:

Then another iconic player pose—Klaas-Jan Huntelaar's karate kick—was added in:

That theme of Sabella being knocked out got another take, this time in the boxing ring: 

But not all memes involved Sabella suffering—some involved the coach dancing, in this case with Michael Jackson (Ale are you ok?):

But limbo dancing fit the bill as well:

Thereafter the Sabella photoshop jobs got wackier still, from his starring role in The Matrix:

And then there was a good, old-fashioned bungee jump:

After which he presumably went straight out to swim with the dolphins:
