Bleacher Report

Alejandro Sabella, the Argentina coach, quickly gained Internet fame after he became so engrossed in a chance for his side during their World Cup quarter-final against Belgium that he almost fell over.

And after the Vine did the rounds, the next thing was the Photoshopping.

First we thought we'd marry two memes, with #ThingsTimHowardCouldSave still fresh in the memory:

Then another iconic player pose—Klaas-Jan Huntelaar's karate kick—was added in:

That theme of Sabella being knocked out got another take, this time in the boxing ring:

But not all memes involved Sabella suffering—some involved the coach dancing, in this case with Michael Jackson (Ale are you ok?):

*brb Just saw some Sabella memes & I have to change my underwear... 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/8QqDxaZlBx

But limbo dancing fit the bill as well:

Thereafter the Sabella photoshop jobs got wackier still, from his starring role in The Matrix:

And a meme was born. Sup, Argentina's coach Sabella? #ARG pic.twitter.com/s5V8i7j2VL

To the time he took on The Karate Kid:

To the time he was saved by Moe from The Simpsons:

And then there was a good, old-fashioned bungee jump:

After which he presumably went straight out to swim with the dolphins:

— Bebé Eructitos (@MikaaYasmin) July 5, 2014

But perhaps the most random image of them all—here's Sabella as the first domino to fall:

Thanks Twitter. Thanks for that.
