Wimbledon 2009 Mens Singles Winner Roger Federer?

or Wimbledon 2009 Mens Singles Winner Rafael Nadal?

I will undoubtedly say Wimbledon 2009 Mens Singles Winner - Roger Federer. Who said his era is over? You better take back your words, trust me Federer is gonna rise to his career best form again to surprise us all tennis lovers.

French Open 2009 will reiterate the resilience this champion has got. I don’t discount to the fact that Rafael Nadal not being there till finals eased his path. But Federer’s win at Roland Garros held his place strong in tennis history as he became the sixth to win all Grand Slam titles and in the process he had equaled Pete Sampras record of 14 Grand Slams. Mind you Pete never won at Roland Garros.

That said, last years Wimbledon final between Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer is still talked off much and the shadow seems to loom large over Wimbledon 2009 as well.

But those guys who are writing off Federer, you better drop your pens down! Federer will dominate this year’s mens tennis. Federer will go into Wimbledon 2009 Queen’ court very much as favorite to regain the title he lost to Rafael Nadal in Wimbledon 2008. He gave a miss to the Halle Tournament to recoup from the Roland Garros fatigue and be flt in the Queens court.

Many became apprehensive about his career and dropping down further from Number 2 after his marriage and fatherhood, but let me tell you, settling into a relationship will make a man’s mind calm and Federer is no exception and he can now channelize his skills into serious tennis again. Although I only feel that he should be going into Wimbledon 2009 with a coach.

And Nadal broke silence about his knee problem and he said he will go into Wimbledon 2009 only if he is fully fit to defend his title. So the pressure is now on Nadal guys not Federer! J I will put all my money on Roger Federer who will win Wimbledon for the 6th time and breaks Pete’s record of 14 Grand Slam titles. Take my word friends!

Will Rafael Nadal Participate ?
