The U.S. national team shirts have been formally revealed, giving fans a first look at the uniform the team will wear at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, but it appears to have left fans a little disappointed.

The official U.S. Soccer feed tweeted the shot Monday:

2014 U.S. National Team home jersey from @nikesoccer revealed. Preorder here: http://t.co/P4WEHus7IR #USMNT #USWNT pic.twitter.com/Vb3gCjuSXL

The jersey was leaked on social media in the weeks before the release and had been compared by some to a shirt that belonged in another sport.

Now that it has been confirmed, fans remain underwhelmed:

Nike has a big team of designers, along with experienced management to approve things, and they released a $5 golf shirt as the USMNT shirt.

The USA World Cup home jersey is quite the letdown. Why @Nike why?
