WWE Superstar Mike “The Miz” Mizanin was officially married to former WWE Divas champion and model Maryse Ouellet in the Bahamas on Thursday in front of friends, family and co-workers.
This Miz shared the excitement about his wife taking his last name:
Before the actual wedding ceremony, though, both the bride and groom enjoyed a night of bachelor and bachelorette partying with their friends. Ouellet shared an image of the women in the bridal party enjoying themselves, and former United States champion Zack Ryder was forced to comment on the photo:
Not to be outdone, The Miz assembled a group of recognizable friends to celebrate the occasion with him as well, via ring announcer Justin Roberts' instagram account. The photo included former Superstar John Morrison, Ryder, Roberts, Dolph Ziggler and Alex Riley:
Now that sounds like a party.
The wedding ceremony itself also included former WWE Diva Kelly Kelly and her date, NHL defenseman Sheldon Souray, who took to Twitter to share her thanks for being invited to the event:
With a beautiful natural backdrop to the outdoor ceremony and plenty of loved ones in attendance, the entertaining married couple took several pictures that they shared on Instagram about the wedding:
The Miz has not been pushed to his full potential with his current employer—the former WWE champion has been relegated to meaningless midcard matches—but he has continued to blossom into one of the most versatile personalities in the company.
Do you think The Miz is due for a big push when he returns from his wedding and honeymoon?
Now that the wedding is over and The Miz will be returning to the company with the ability to give the business his undivided attention, the hope is that the talented star will be given the push he deserves.
The wedding in the Bahamas was a beautiful occasion that the couple was able to share with the people they care most about, and the hope is that he will now receive the support from the WWE he rightly deserves.
After marrying Maryse, a push in the WWE would be icing on the cake for 2014.
