There were a few things that happened during Saturday nights Nationwide race that make you say huu!.

The first one has to be Mark Davis bone-headed move in pit lane, Brendan Gaughan was thinking Mr. Davis was going into the pit lane.

Mark Davis was actually going into the garage, turned left wrecking Brenden's front end and ruining a possible top fifteen finish for the Rusty Wallace driver.

The second dumb move was Brendan Gaughan statement after the race, a shot at one of the oldest black universities in the country, Howard University.

Howard University owned radio station WHUR 96.3 is the a sponsor for Mark Davis, Mr. Gaughan quote " apparently you get a better education at Georgetown than Howard university" end of quote.

If this statement was made by anyone else, I would say is bordering on a racial shot, but it was said by Allan Iverson's team mate and room mate at Georgetown University where they played basketball together and became good friends.

Having said all that, you must agree, It was a dumb statement from a Georgetown educated man, it was at least unbecoming of a Hoya.

Mr. Gaughan should know, some of country's most respected citizen have graduated from Howard University, here some of them:

David Dinkins, first Black mayor of New York City
Sharon Pratt Kelly, former mayor of Washington, DC
Debbie Allen, dancer, actress
Toni Morrison, Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist
Roberta Flack, singer
Douglas Wilder, former governor of Virginia
Thurgood Marshall, Supreme Court Justice
Jessye Norman, opera diva
Ed Bradley, TV commentator, radio host
Richard Wesley, playwright
Kenneth B. Clark, psychologist, author
Andrew Young, former mayor of Atlanta, U.S. ambassador
Phylicia Ayers-Allen Rashad, actress
Donny Hathaway, singer
Angela Winbush, singer

Not a bad list, I loved that Ed Bradly from 60 minutes and how about Thurgood Marshall, come on Brendan give them some props. lol.

Now comes the worst thing that happened Saturday night.

If your a musician or enjoy beautiful guitars, you must agree, It is total HERESY, to destroy a one of a kind Gibson Les Paul, is like using a Lamborghini Murciélago in your local demolition derby.

Dumb, dumb and stupid (is dumb and stupid the same?).

Kyle Busch, is loved by many fans, but  destroying that guitar was the dumb move of the night. The Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In tv show gave a special award for events like this back in the sixties.

It was called "The Flying Fickle Finger of Fate Award."

For the younger reader who don't get the award is all about, look it up,you will have some fun.
