Adnan Januzaj Reportedly Takes a Date for £18 Nando's Meal

Manchester United's 18-year-old star Adnan Januzaj has been accused of a heinous offense today: taking a date out to Nando's.

The girl he was with, 25-year-old student Melissa McKenzie, told Ruth Warrander of The Sun (h/t Metro) that the midfielder arrived in a tracksuit and spent £18 on the meal.

Here's some of what Ms. McKenzie revealed:

I’ve never met anyone so stingy in my life.

I expected him to come to me in a flashy car, but I ended up driving him about in my old blue Fiesta and I was left to pay and display.

He said he was taking me to Nando’s – my face fell.

Fellow Premier League youngster Andros Townsend was unimpressed by the article, tweeting the following:

Nando's, meanwhile, have offered the midfielder a £50 gift card along with some friendly advice.

Count teammate Rio Ferdinand among those who approve of his selection of date location.
