It was an exciting week for Americans playing abroad as Clint Dempsey and Brek Shea debuted for new clubs on loan.
America's youngsters also got into the mix as Sebastian Lletget made his senior debut for West Ham and teenager Duane Holmes helped English Championship side Huddersfield to an FA Cup win.
Finally, there were plenty of transfer rumors out this week with potential new clubs for Aron Johannsson, Juan Agudelo, Michael Bradley, Mix Diskerud and Jermaine Jones.
Read about all that and much more in this week's Americans Abroad wrap.
Sebastian Lletget made his senior debut for West Ham, playing all 90 minutes in their 5-0 FA Cup loss to Nottingham Forest. Eric Lichaj started and played 58 minutes for Forest.
Aron Johannsson was also linked with a move to Stoke this week as The Mirror's Steve Bates reported that Mark Hughes was interested in the American striker.
Brek Shea signed a short-term loan this week with Barnsley and made his debut against Birmingham on Wednesday in English Championship action. He was not a part of the squad for Barnsley in their weekend FA Cup match.
Juan Agudelo may also be heading to England. He was initially listed on the roster for the United States men's national team's January camp on Friday before almost immediately being taken off. This led to speculation that a transfer to Europe was in play. On Saturday, Agudelo was spotted (h/t World Soccer Talk) at Stoke City's FA Cup match. Agudelo had been set for a move to Stoke this fall, but his work permit was denied.
American teenager Duane Holmes came off the bench in the 58th minute to help lead Huddersfield to a 3-2 comeback win over Grimsby Town. Holmes' shot in the 86th minute resulted in a rebound which Huddesfield scored to tie the game, shortly before winning the match four minutes later.
Jozy Altidore started for Sunderland in their FA Cup match with Carlisle United and, despite being roundly blasted on Twitter for his performance, contributed an assist in the their 3-1 win.
