For the fourth consecutive year, PGA teaching professional Brendon Elliott is seeking the best golf swing for children under the age of eight through his Little Linksters program.

The contest is open to children from around the world. Parents and golf teachers are encouraged to post a video of their favorite little golfer to YouTube and submit the link to Little Linksters.

A panel of golf celebrities—Frank Nobilo, Brittany Lincicome, Gary Player, Holly Sonders, Nicole Weller and Allen Wronowski—will judge the submissions and pick the winners.

Submissions must be received by January 15 and prizes will be awarded in four different age categories. The winners will be announced at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, January 22-24.

Elliott is a US Kids Golf Top 50 teacher, was named Top 50 Growth of the Game Teaching Professional by GRAA in 2013 and has been a North Florida PGA Junior Golf Leader award winner for the past three years.

In an interview with Elliott, he said:

“The purpose of this contest or what we believe in and do at Little Linksters is not just about finding or working with kids eight and under that are rock stars and swing the club like a seasoned veteran. It’s about letting kids eight and under see that golf is fun and absolutely something they should do and try.”

Elliott went on to add his ideas about growing the game:

“The golf industry needs to focus on kids and get them started sooner than normal for the good of the game. Initiatives like the annual swing contest is one way to get kids interested in golf at a young age. We will also be launching a new Little Linksters International Pee Wee Hall of Fame in 2014.”

The Pee Wee Hall of Fame and contests such as the Little Linksters swing contest can get your young golfer excited about golf and just maybe lure them away from the video game remote for a few minutes.
