With the Royal Rumble fast approaching in January, speculation is rife as to who will be the surprise entrants that we have become accustomed to seeing each and every year.

Whether it is a cameo appearance such as The Godfather's last year or a shock return from injury like John Cena's in 2008, WWE fans will be expecting some surprises in the annual 30-man bash to determine who will main event WrestleMania 30.

With widespread speculation across the wrestling planet, we may have been given a clearer idea as to two Superstars who could return this week. With the Rumble pay-per-view taking place in Pittsburgh, Pa. on January 26 next year, two familiar faces are scheduled to attend an event in the city the exact same weekend.

Per, the 2014 World of Wheels Convention takes places at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center on the Friday and Saturday prior to the Royal Rumble.

The Friday will see Sheamus appear at the event, perhaps leaning toward the possibility of the Irishman making his return to the match he won in 2012. The Celtic Warrior has been out of action since the middle of this year, when he suffered a torn labrum in his shoulder, ruling him out for four to six months. That time frame is almost about to expire, so it would make logical sense for Sheamus to return at the Rumble.

As well as the Irishman attending the convention on that Friday, Chris Jericho is scheduled to appear at the event Saturday, which could suggest he is once again returning to the WWE.

Jericho has been off WWE TV tapings for a number of months due to his ongoing musical and acting commitments—similar to Batista, who is also expected to return at the Royal Rumble.

Y2J was the big surprise entrant in last year's Rumble, ending a six-month hiatus by appearing as the second entrant in the event. He continued to be active with the company all the way through WrestleMania season until July, when an attack from Ryback wrote him out of WWE for a period of time.

He has been away touring with his rock band Fozzy since, but a return for the Royal Rumble seems ever more likely following this latest piece of news.
