As best we can tell, they are all here: every home run, touchdown run and stirring play that captivated and enthralled fans in 2013.

Sure, there may be a few you would love to see that were missed, but you have to agree that five minutes of nostalgia is a good way to pass the time.

SportsGrid's Jake O'Donnell spotted this video via Daily Motion. These are the same people who have compiled gems like winter fails and scare prank compilations

While those might be a little niche for some, the one here should satisfy most entertainment cravings. And yes, Auburn fans might find themselves clicking on this video a few times.

This is, of course, the time of year for every website, magazine and blogger to come out with their rankings and compilations for the year that was.

It's impossible to encapsulate 12 months of the year into a short video or lengthy article, but the producers of this highlight reel certainly pulled off the grand effort.

There are a few things you will notice when enjoying the video. First, spectacular one-handed grabs aren't nearly as rare as you might think they are. Second, we all aren't watching enough soccer or hockey, because the scant highlights that crept into the mashup are phenomenal.

Third, and more importantly, we were damn spoiled this year, getting tons of outrageous plays that invoked so much emotion.

Some of them, like Auburn's "Kick Six," will stay with us long after 2013 ends. That particular play was recently named the College Play of the Year, an acknowledgment few outside Crimson Tide loyalties would argue.

Yasiel Puig's theatrics, Ray Allen's fadeaway dagger and Zlatan Ibrahimovic's back-heel wonder goal were just a few that stood out to me. Obviously, you have your favorites or some you think were missed.

Regardless, 2014 has some work to do if it's going to trump this year's excitement.
