There have been conflicting reports about Arsenal's pursuit of Alvaro Morata in recent days.

First, sources such as Express reported that a loan deal for the Real Madrid striker had already been completed. Then, Carlo Ancelotti, via SkySports, Arsene Wenger (the Mirror) and Morata himself (also SkySports) denied that any discussions had even taken place.

Regardless of whether there is any truth to this rumor, it surfaced because Morata would be the perfect reinforcement for Arsenal this winter.

He would provide invaluable relief to Olivier Giroud during the Gunners' title push without Arsenal needing to commit to a long-term contract or pay a hefty transfer fee. And Morata has proven his quality already—he is just being denied game time at Real Madrid.

Thus, despite all the denials, this loan has a high probability of going through this January.
