With the race at Phoenix over, Jimmie Johnson has separated himself from Matt Kenseth by 28 points in the standings as they head to Homestead.

Phoenix was filled with several cautions, as drivers spun, wrecked, and hit the walls.

Matt Kenseth struggled all day, while Jimmie Johnson managed to run up in the top 10 for most of the race.

As the race was coming to a finish, Carl Edwards was leading the race, but ran out of gas on the final Lap. With Edwards fading, Harvick managed to pass Edwards and went on to win his second race in the Chase.

Don't be fooled by his win though, Harvick is still further back in points, and only has a long shot to win the title next week. He would need both Johnson and Kenseth to struggle drastically at Homestead, something that seems unlikely.

As far as the two leaders in the standings are concerned, this race at Phoenix could be what gives Johnson enough room in the standings to win the championship.

If Kenseth wants any chance next week, he needs to go into Homestead and win the race. Johnson is either hit or miss at the track, which means Kenseth needs to get everything he can out of Homestead, while Johnson needs to finish 23 or better to win the championship.

Even with a 28 point lead on Kenseth, the Chase will come down to Homestead next week.

Will Johnson go on to win his sixth title, or can Kenseth, or even Harvick upset the 48 team?
