Arizona Cardinals Roster 2013: Latest Cuts, Depth Charts and Analysis
In the desert, the Arizona Cardinals have already started disclosing their roster cuts. They need to finish trimming their roster down to 75 by 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday and down to 53 on Saturday.
Even though a majority of Arizona's players secured a spot earlier in the preseason, there are still a few that could be earned during the Cardinals' final preseason game against the Denver Broncos.
Follow along here to receive updates as soon as they happen. Also, make sure to have your voice heard in the comments section below.
List of 53-Man Roster Cuts
1 of 7The team has put rookie offensive guard Jonathan Cooper, tight end Jeff King and nose tackle Ricky Lumpkin on injured reserve and confirmed the following 18 cuts, which reduces their roster to 53 players:
- Jonathon Amaya, S
- David Carter, DL
- Chilo Rachal, OG
- Mike Thomas, WR
- Adam Bice, C
- Dan Buckner, WR
- Alex Gottlieb, TE
- Charles Hawkins, WR
- Senio Kelemete, OG
- Zack Nash, LB
- Colin Parker, LB
- Richard Quinn, TE
- Curtis Taylor, S
- Kerry Taylor, WR
- Padric Scott, NT
- Reggie Walker, LB
- Kenny Rowe, LB
- Jamaal Johnson-Webb, OT
No surprise cuts from the Cardinals today. Nose tackle Padric Scott was a talented undrafted free agent, but he showed little consistency during the preseason to warrant a roster spot.
Quarterback Ryan Lindley made the roster despite some speculation, but as we all know that could change in the coming days.
Wide receivers Kerry Taylor and Charles Hawkins are both prime practice squad candidates.
Reggie Walker is a special teams ace, yet he offers little in terms of playmaking ability when he's on the field as a linebacker.

List of 1st Round of Cuts
6 of 7The Cardinals have been busy preparing for the NFL-mandated 75-player roster limit. They have waived 12 players total and are now at the 75-man mark.
- Dan Carpenter, K
- Nick Edwards, WR
- Deveric Gallington, OL
- Jonathan Mathis, DT
- Korey Jones, LB
- Cordian Hagans, DE
- Ronnie Yell, CB
- Joe Caprioglio, OL
- Jarett Dillard, WR
- Caleb TerBush, QB
- Mickey Shuler, TE
- Javon Harris, S
There are no real surprises on this list. Wide receiver Nick Edwards was an intriguing prospect based on his size, yet he failed to stand out during training camp.
In addition to all of its cuts, Arizona added tight end Richard Quinn. Quinn was a second-round pick by the Denver Broncos in 2009. He was most recently a member of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Previewing 53-Man Roster Cuts
Here's a look at how the Cardinals may cut their roster down to 53 players.
- Ryan Lindley, QB
- Ryan Williams, RB
- Dan Buckner, WR
- Charles Hawkins, WR
- Kory Sperry, TE
- Alex Gottlieb, TE
- D.C. Jefferson, TE
- Jamaal Johnson-Webb, OT
- Senio Kelemete, RG
- Adam Bice, C
- Mike Gibson, C
- Ronald Talley, DE
- Padric Scott, NT
- Ricky Lumpkin, NT
- Reggie Walker, LB
- Kenny Rowe, LB
- Zack Nash, LB
- Colin Parker, LB
- Kenny Demens, LB
- Bryan McCann, CB
- Curtis Taylor, S
- Tony Jefferson, S
Quarterback Ryan Lindley has failed to show improvement from Year 1 to Year 2. This, in turn, could ultimately make him expendable. Carson Palmer will start for the Cardinals and Drew Stanton will serve as Palmer's backup.
Nose tackle Padric Scott has some talent, but Arizona already has the position well covered with Dan Williams and David Carter.
Safety Tony Jefferson played well in limited opportunities, yet his spot duty doesn't warrant a roster spot because he will not make an impact on special teams. When you're the fourth safety on the team, you better be able to play special teams.
