    Updated: Saturday, August 10

Both Sky Sports and Goal.com report that Inter has signed Porto defender, Rolando, on-loan for the season.

With this signing, Walter Mazzarri has now siginificantly added to a defense that allowed 57 goals in the Serie A last season. Rolando spent the last part of the 2012/13 season on loan at Napoli making nine appearances for the Italian club.

That makes him familiar with Serie A and, more importantly, with Mazzarri's system.

    Updated: Saturday, August 10

Chievo Sporting Director, Giovanni Sartori, told L'Arena(h/t Football-Italia) that the club won't sign Ezequiel Schelotto.

Schelotto has no future with Inter, having been left out of the club's preseason schedule, but a number of suitors are presented in the Football-Italia article.

Chievo was thought to be the team to land the Argentine-born winger. Schelotto only joined Inter midway through the 2012/13 season.

The Cameroonian forward spent two seasons with the club, being part of the famous treble-winning side in his debut season. Eto'o has been out of the limelight while playing for Anzhi Makhachkala in Russia, but he could the 32-year-old could still prove to be a solid addition for Inter.

Wallace Set to Sign for Inter Milan on Loan

4 of 8

Both Talksport and Alex Moretto of Goal.com report that Chelsea's Brazilian youngster Wallace is set to join Inter on loan.

The impending capture of the Brazilian right-back may end Inter's search for a player to add depth to the right side of the 3-5-2 formation. While players like Mauricio Isla and Gregory van der Wiel have been linked in the past, it's likely that the signing of Wallace will conclude Inter's interest in these players.

Inter Milan Fail in Luiz Gustavo Bid

5 of 8

According to Talksport, Inter Milan failed in a bid to sign Luiz Gustavo from Bayern Munich.

The defensive midfielder put in some strong performances for Brazil during the recent Confederations Cup but is not certain of a regular role at Bayern. The competition already in place and the signing of Thiago Alcantara are the main reasons for that.

Gustavo made 35 appearances for Bayern Munich last season.

Saphir Taider on Inter Radar

Inter may be adding more youth to the squad according to this rumour.

Bologna director general Roberto Zanzi spoke to Algeria-focused football site Le Buteur (h/t Football-Italia) about Inter's interest in Saphir Taider.

The 20-year-old midfielder played 34 games for Bologna last season while fulfilling a variety of roles. Taider played primarily as a central midfielder and would find himself behind Mateo Kovacic, Fredy Guarin and Esteban Cambiasso.

Wellington Dreams of Inter Milan Move

7 of 8

Ben Gladwell of ESPN FC reports that Sao Paulo midfielder Wellington spoke to Italy's Sky television about his hope for a move to Inter this summer.

The Brazilian defensive midfielder would bring an energy to the Inter midfield similar to what Paulinho will bring to Tottenham, minus the goal-scoring threat. Time is winding down for Inter to sign the Sao Paulo star, but the fact that he's willing to move may allow a deal to be concluded quickly.

Alberto Gilardino May Move to Inter in Player Swap Deal

8 of 8

Albertino Gilardino, according to a report from Tutto Sport (h/t Football-Italia), may move to Inter Milan in exchange for Ezequiel Schelotto.

Gilardino spent last season on loan at Bologna, scoring 13 goals in 37 games for the club. The 32-year-old forward would be Inter's third attacking signing this season if he joins.

Inter could use the extra attacking depth and experience that Gilardino would bring, with only Rodrigo Palacio and Diego Milito in that category.
