The LA Lakers lost Dwight Howard this offseason.

But that doesn't mean they've lost all hope for the future. They still have Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash and Pau Gasol.

Heck, they might even be a more likable and watchable crew this year after adding some "Mike D'Antoni parts" in Chris Kaman, Nick Young, Jordan Farmar and Wes Johnson.

But will it add up to enough wins and yet another playoff berth? Will Kobe be back as Kobe? Can Lakers fans embrace at least one season of lowered expectations?
