Chelsea Could Miss out on Sporting Lisbon Wonderkid Bruma
1 of 6After Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani both came through the academy system at Sporting Lisbon, the coaches were desperate to keep their next gem Bruma.
But after a contractual dispute, the 18-year-old starlet looks set to exit the Portuguese club, with the Blues looking to sign him according to The Express.
However, the same article says they may face competition from big-spending French champions PSG, who have spent over €100 million this summer already.
Scoring five goals at the Under-20 World Cup, the highly-rated youngster was one of the most impressive players of the tournament.
Any attempts to sign Bruma would be complicated due to the legal constraints, and that could prevent a deal from being reached.
Josh McEachran Linked with Surprise Loan to Real Sociedad
2 of 6After Jose Mourinho confirmed Josh McEachran would be going out on loan, the Portuguese coach would have been hoping for a Premier League club to come in for the talented midfielder.
But after losing their highly-rated Spaniard Asier Illarramendi to Mourinho's former club Real Madrid, Real Sociedad know they must replace him.
Although they have a significant amount of funds available, manager Jagoba Arrasate is looking to sign a young midfielder on loan, with his attempts to sign Barcelona's Jonathan Dos Santos proving to be in vain.
The Basque club are, however, interested in taking 20-year-old McEachran on loan for the season according to The Daily Mail and, with Champions League football looking likely, it could be a superb move for the youngster.
Perhaps there may be doubts over the move as Chelsea favour a loan to a Premier League side and the language barrier may cause an issue, but it's one to keep an eye on nonetheless.
Jose Mourinho Lines Up £20m Move for Real Madrid Midfielder Sami Khedira
3 of 6Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is reported to be lining up a move for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, with the Portuguese boss keen to add to his midfield ranks.
After allowing Oriol Romeu to join Celta Vigo on loan, and with other youngsters set to join him in moving away from the club temporarily, Mourinho is looking to sign the Germany international for the second time according to The Mirror.
The Spanish giants have recently signed highly rated defensive midfielder Asier Illarramendi from Real Sociedad for £34 million, hinting that Khedira is now surplus to requirements under new coach Carlo Ancelotti.
John Cross reports that the former Stuttgart man could be interested in a move to Stamford Bridge:
"Mourinho is desperate to strengthen his midfield and although he fell out with large sections of the Real Madrid dressing room he maintained a good relationship with 26-year-old Khedira.
He wants a busy midfield general to add to his squad and Real Madrid would want around £20m for the German who Chelsea are believed to be ready to pay around £4m-a-year.
"
With a regular spot far from certain in Madrid, Khedira could well make the move to London and it may be one to keep an eye on as the transfer window enters its final month.
Jose Mourinho Rules out David Luiz Exit After Bayern Munich Link
4 of 6After speculation linked David Luiz as part of Chelsea's move for Wayne Rooney, Jose Mourinho refuted suggestions that the Brazilian could leave, claiming defiantly "none of my players are leaving," per The Daily Mail.
That claim comes despite the fact that Luiz is yet to play under Mourinho, although this is because the Brazilian international was at the Confederations Cup with his country and has enjoyed an extended break as a result.
Ben Rumsby of The Telegraph reveals that Pep Guardiola has been tracking the 26-year-old since his time in charge of Barcelona, and now at Bayern Munich, the Spaniard is interested in bringing the former Benfica defender to the Allianz Arena.
A fee of around £34.5 million has been mooted, but with Mourinho's insistence on selling none of his players, it appears that Luiz could be staying at Stamford Bridge for the time being.
Blues Chase Leandro Castan as Replacement for David Luiz
5 of 6Chelsea are reported to be preparing for David Luiz's possible departure by lining up a move for his compatriot, Leandro Castan.
The Roma defender, who signed from Corinthians for a fee of £5 million last year, has not had the easiest ride in his career, starting off at Atletico Mineiro before an ill-fated spell with Helsingborg in Sweden.
But the 26-year-old has managed to break into the first team at the Stadio Olimpico and formed a solid partnership with Marquinhos, who joined PSG earlier this summer, last season.
He made his debut for Brazil against Japan back in October, and if Luiz were to leave, The Express say that Castan could the man to take his place.
However, after signing Mehdi Benatia as a replacement for Marquinhos, it's unlikely that the capital-based club would want him to leave.
Chelsea Keen on Unsettled Bayern Midfielder Luiz Gustavo
6 of 6Jose Mourinho is looking at bolstering his midfield options at Chelsea, and what better way is there to do that than to take a Brazil international from one of your arch rivals?
According to Dave Kidd of the Sunday People, the Portuguese tactician is looking at luring Luiz Gustavo from Champions League winners Bayern Munich, who are currently managed by Pep Guardiola.
The arrival of Javi Martinez last season undermined Gustavo's presence in the first team, while Guardiola's decision to bring in Thiago Alcantara has seen him fall further down the pecking order.
According to the article, Gustavo, who arrived at the Allianz Arena from Bundesliga strugglers Hoffenheim in 2011, is keen to move for regular first-team football, and Mourinho sees him a direct replacement for John Obi Mikel:
"Returning boss Jose Mourinho has prioritised the signing of a holding midfield player for the Stamford Bridge club, and he has doubts about John Obi Mikel’s ability to play in that role.
Bayern’s signing of Thiago Alcantara from Barcelona is likely to limit Gustavo’s first-team opportunities this season. And the player wants regular first-team football to ensure he is part of the Brazil team for next summer’s World Cup.
"
It is thought that a bid in the region of £15 million would be enough to force Guardiola's hand and let Gustavo leave Bavaria if he is no longer needed.
