Liverpool vs Chelsea Again?

Chelsea booked their place in the semis, after what seemed like a routine home win.

Fenerbache had their chances but rarely troubled Chelsea keeper Hilario, on after Cudicini went off injured. 

So we have another Liverpool-Chelsea semi final!

As a football fan I'm quite sick of it.

The two teams constantly play out drab, lacklustre 0-0 draws which quite frankly put people to sleep.

As a Chelsea fan, this is exactly the semi final I wanted.

The match I been waiting for since they knocked us out last year. Liverpool seem to have the edge over us in knock-out games.

It's the third semi final the two teams have met in recent history and in between those years they were paired in the group stages and they also locked horns in an FA Cup semi final a few years ago, a game which Liverpool also won.

Its worth mentioning that they also met in this years Carling Cup quarter final, which Chelsea won 2-0 for a change.

2004/05: Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool, Liverpool 1-0 Chelsea.

2005/06: Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool, Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea.

2006/07: Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool, Liverpool 1-0 Chelsea (4-1 on pens).

Between them they've scored a measley three goals in six games.  

Now we have another semi final clash between the two.

I just hope this time around the two sets of players will give it all and have the same kind of attitude the Arsenal and Liverpool players showed this quater final.
