Jose Calderon had a nice homecoming in his first trip back to Toronto to play his old team. He was so comfortable that he nearly ended up strolling back into his old digs and sitting down with his buddies.
At halftime, Calderon took a stroll down the left side of the tunnel, high-fived a little kid wearing his jersey and started walking back to the locker room. The only problem was that he was walking back to the Toronto Raptors' locker room.
A few laughs were had and Calderon got a laugh himself once he saw that he was on camera.
Calderon gave his old team a bit of a show, throwing in 19 points and adding nine assists for the evening as he led the Detroit Pistons to a win over the Raptors.
Before the game started, Toronto gave Calderon a terrific introduction, stopping to recognize him for his eight years with the Raptors:
A brief standing ovation for Jose Calderon. Raps turn off lights to cut it off. I'm guessing a video tribute is coming.— Eric Koreen (@ekoreen) April 1, 2013

It was an emotional time for everyone involved as the fans gave him a stellar welcome and he fought back tears:
Jose Calderon on handling emotions in Toronto return: “It was emotional. I don't know. I think no tear was out, but close. It was close.”— Holly MacKenzie (@stackmack) April 2, 2013
Who knows, maybe Calderon can make his way back to Toronto one day. He is a free agent at the end of the season.
