Phoenix Suns: Looking Ahead
Let's take a look at the Phoenix Suns' future, go into timeย three years from now and where do you see the Suns? Amare will most likely be gone, Shaq's career will be over, Nash may be elsewhere or maybe even retired, Grant's career will be over and he may even retire in Orlando where he played best, Jason Richardson might not be here either, and a few other guys will most likely be gone. Also, hopefully Kerr leaves with the old fellas cause to be honest, Kerr isn't a very good GM to rebuild with.
But what I can see for the Sun's future isn't what many other people see, I see success. The Suns will have a whole new team and will be able to win maybe under a different coach and system. Surely everything wont just change, but what I do know for sure is that the Suns will start to see success inย three years, just like how people see success in the Thunder, Grizzlies, and Trailblazers. Just imagine the Suns as the Blazers or Thunder now, but inย three years time.
What the Suns can do is either get a whole heap of money to spare in the free-agency to sign some big names with the expiring contracts in Shaq, Amare, Nash, and Richardson, or they can go for trades and get big names and potential stars that way. Another way they could do this is to just be like the Thunder and get lottery draft picks year by year, this process will take a really long time, possiblyย four toย five years.
Now, what if Kerr stays and doesn't get fired? Then we are pretty much doomed and there will obviously be no success for the Phoenix Suns.
