Since losing the WWE Championship to The Rock in controversial fashion at the Royal Rumble, CM Punk has been unstoppable on the microphone, claiming he is still the man and how he will recapture what belongs to him.
This angry persona fits him well, and he manages to get a roar from the massive crowd every week with his insults and taunts.
Though some may question the company's decision to place the title on a part-timer, others see this as a great opportunity for the "Best in the World" to rank up there with the big stars.
In no way is this great Superstar going to fall back down into the midcard. CM Punk is here to stay and he has only just begun to plague the WWE Universe with his brand of justice.
No one really knows who he will face come WrestleMania 29, but the big rumor out there is The Undertaker himself.
It would have been much better had the title been involved, but make no mistake about it, the Straight Edge Superstar will main event the big pay-per-view, and with style.
After such a long, successful reign, the man deserves it. Better yet, he has earned it.
This whole dynamic involving Paul Heyman, The Shield and Punk is only beginning. It is all a great mystery and in time, the truth will be revealed, and most probably by then, "The Devil" will have regained his precious championship.
When looking at this from high above, what could be some incredible moments to come for CM Punk down the road?
Battling Undertaker over ending "The Streak," facing Brock Lesnar and ultimately (fate permitting) facing Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 30.
Do YOU think CM Punk will have an even bigger year in 2013?
These are just some random ideas thrown out there for fun, but rest assured, some more great Punk moments are headed this way.
For a long time, fans wished he would turn "heel" in order to bring out the best of his character. That wish has since been granted, and since then, there has not been a dull moment.
Having him paired up with Paul Heyman was another ingenious idea. One mouth piece can cause some trouble—two together can cause plenty of it. And should the WWE desire to form some sort of high-profile stable, then who better to lead it than CM Punk and his associate?
2013 has already begun with a bang.
The Rock is back and he currently holds the title, but he will not be here forever. John Cena is set to face him.
Could it be a Triple Threat match? If Taker is not Punk's opponent, that would be the only alternative.
Perhaps the greatest contribution CM Punk could do for the WWE would be to push Cena to the dark side.
He is the Devil, after all.
Full of deceit, lies and charm. No one is safe from his power, and if anyone hopes to see John Cena take on The Undertaker at WrestleMania, then that would be the only way to make it a most must-see match.
All this, however, is looking far into the cloudy future. Nothing is certain yet.
CM Punk is just getting started and he is already taking his place high up there, in the same league as the HBKs, Rocks, Stone Colds, Hitmans and Takers.
There are things left to do still before.
Tomorrow night's Monday Night Raw will be a step in the right direction.
