Here we are, on the cusp of WrestleMania season and it appears that the WWE may have at least the top four matches slated for the event.
As noted, the top four matches for WrestleMania 29 are booked and not likely to be changed. This isn't confirmed, but The Wrestling Observer reports that those four matches may be The Rock vs. John Cena, Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar, Sheamus vs. Randy Orton and CM Punk vs. The Undertaker.
It's said that the rest of the card is still up in the air.
If this is the card that the WWE is building the event around, you can rest assure that the company stands to outdo last year's event. The biggest thing that I noticed about this report, is there was no word as to who will have the WWE championship heading into the event.
Ultimately, they have two options that they can go with. The first being, The Rock-John Cena II for the WWE title, or Punk-Taker (Streak vs. Streak). Unfortunately, the company will probably run with Rock-Cena II for the strap and have Cena come out on top. Simply because, The Rock's expected to step away after "The Grandaddy of Them All". So giving Cena a shot at the title seems to be the obvious choice.
That is unless, The Undertaker is looking to hang up his boots after the event. Then, in my opinion, Punk-Taker would be the better option. This would allow "The Dead Man" to remain undefeated at WrestleMania and retire as champ on the following Raw.
Any way you slice it, the WWE sure has some planning to do. Overall, they need to figure out who else will be involved in the card and who they want to push post-'Mania.
In the end, I am certain that the company will figure this out and put on one hell of a show.
