Despite being one of just two teams to finish the regular season undefeated, the Ohio State Buckeyes were stuck in Columbus watching Alabama take on Notre Dame in the BCS National Championship Game Monday night.

For Ohio State fans, watching Alabama rout Notre Dame to claim yet another national title was excruciating.

For the actual members of the Ohio State football team, it was torture.

Naturally, a lot of those players took to Twitter to express their feelings. Below is a collection of their tweets that (I feel) accurately depict the mood of the team.

Here goes.

Just some pre-game thoughts from Jake Stoneburner. We discover his feelings about the game in addition to his inability to use hashtags correctly on Twitter.

Things escalated quickly in the title game, and Bradley Roby gave you a peek inside to how his backyard football games were played during his childhood. When either team went up by 21 points, the game was called and one of the team's mothers likely provided juice boxes and oranges.

Nick Saban didn't bring any juice boxes or oranges to Miami, but he did have that game plan to slowly suffocate Notre Dame to death, so why waste it?

Come on, Notre Dame! According to Travis Howard, all you needed was a little more trash talk!

Who knew Zach Boren was such a huge Notre Dame fan? Crazy.

Tell us how you really feel, Corey Brown.

The season premiere of The Bachelor aired last night. I only know this because my wife called me into our room to show me a scene she found particularly funny. I saw more competition in that brief 30-second clip than I did during this entire game. I hope Christian Bryant saw the same.

Devin Smith, stay focused man—there's a game on.

Now, to be fair, it's impossible to determine whether Braxton Miller was tweeting about the title game or something else. Maybe he was in the drive-thru line at Taco Bell and getting a little impatient with the wait. I mean, it's just delicious cheese and meats thrown into tortillas, hurry up already!

But yeah, he was probably tweeting about the game.

Hey, like Reid Fragel pointed out, facts are facts. I don't go around telling people Nickelback is a great band, because some things aren't up for debate.

Nickelback is the worst.

Don't go there, Adam Griffin. Go get it next year.

OK, that wasn't an Ohio State player. That was me. You can complain all you want, but this is my space and I make the rules. In here, Nickelback is outlawed, pizza is super healthy for you and I get to include my tweets among Ohio State football players.
