Friday's Big Weekend Preview

0 of 3

Happy Holidays to all. Hopefully you're warm, you've done all the necessary shopping (end note: whoops), and are in the position to watch some sports with the heat cranked up. From Santa Barbara to New England, it's definitely inside weather. So grab a couch, a warm drink and enjoy the best sporting TV this weekend has to offer as you wrap presents.

Football Sunday

1 of 3

Again, my 49ers bias flag will fly here, but how can anyone not be excited for 49ers vs. Seahawks on Sunday Night Football (8 p.m., NBC)? You've got a San Francisco team that just won a shootout with the Patriots, and a Seahawks team that's put up 12,785 points in its last two games (well, almost). Add to the mix that it's a battle between two of the biggest ego, Type-A coaches in sports, and we're at a level where you can't not watch.

Plus, plenty of other good stuff, too.

Bowl Season

2 of 3

May as well gear up the BCS extravaganza of the upcoming weeks. Here's the best games of the weekend. Boise State vs. Washington in the Las Vegas Bowl (Saturday, 3:30 p.m., ESPN) will definitely merit my attention. And the Hawaii Bowl on Christmas Eve? Perfect present-wrapping fare.

Basketball Buffet

College or pro, this weekend has enough basketball to keep you from going stir-crazy at your parents' house this weekend. Kansas plays Ohio State in a battle of Top-10s on Saturday (4 p.m., CBS) and the NBA, is, well, the NBA. There's a good chance you'll find something in here that doesn't disappoint.
