After one of the best WWE Raw’s of 2012, the company will be bringing the fans a live edition of SmackDown from Pittsburgh Tuesday night.

While the show is normally taped, the excitement surrounding the WWE following the return of several huge stars is through the roof, and the hype for the live SmackDown Supershow is palpable.

The WWE is trying to carry the momentum it created at the TLC pay-per-view and at Raw Monday to help hold the fans over through the holidays, and an exciting SmackDown will be exactly what it takes to give the WWE Universe what it wants.

It’s going to be a wild Tuesday!

Where: CONSOL Energy Center, Pittsburgh, Pa.

When: Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 8 p.m. ET

Watch: USA Network

Miz TV

While it is becoming very clear that the WWE is trying to hard-sell Miz TV, the fact that The Miz is in the midst of a face turn makes the show more bearable. Add in the fact that this week’s edition will feature Dolph Ziggler and AJ, and the fireworks will fly.

Question on Everyone’s Mind: What’s AJ’s Deal?

After courting John Cena, AJ cost the face of the WWE his chance at the Money in the Bank briefcase at TLC and had him beaten up by Big E. Langston. With a possible affiliation with Ziggler, everyone wants to hear what AJ has to say.

Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Potentially Interesting Storylines

As awful as some of the booking has been up to this point, the fact that they turned A.J. back into the crazy tweener she was during the summer is the right move. As an independent character that can get intertwined with many different storylines, AJ becomes a great tool for the creative team.

Teddy-Long Special Main Event

While Teddy Long currently holds no real power in the WWE, he continues to get his hands on the SmackDown card week after week. Once again on the live edition of SmackDown, we get a tag team main event.

Question on Everyone’s Mind: Is This a Holdover Until the Royal Rumble?

When John Cena and Sheamus team up to take on Big Show and Dolph Ziggler, it will be the classic heel versus face battle, but what kind of impact AJ will play, the possible inclusion of Langston and the tension between Big Show and Ziggler after the Show Off almost cashed in will make this very interesting.

Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 Straight-Up Tag Team Matches

As much as this type of main event is tired and overused, the fact that both of these feuds are still going on proves the WWE is just waiting until after the holidays to shift everyone’s focus to the Royal Rumble.
