Can United Win Without Starters?

Even though Manchester United is choosing to sit some of their key players with the group already wrapped up, teams never want to make a habit out of losing.

United emerged with a 1-0 victory the first time these two teams played in this group. That win came on their home pitch, so a match without their starters and in Turkey would seem to put them at quite the disadvantage.

However, if Galatasaray's home struggles continue, and considering the depth that United have, anything could happen.

Winning all four matches in group play thus far, it is apparent that Manchester United is on another level than the other three teams. A win without some of their top players would speak to that even more and help to continue building necessary momentum for upcoming play in both the Champions League and the EPL.

Can Galatasaray Seize the Opportunity?

Again, the main storyline heading into this match is the fact that Manchester United is choosing to sit its key players. What remains to be seen is if Galatasaray can take advantage.

Having scored just four goals in four Champions League matches, and three of which coming in their only win on November 7 against CFR Cluj, it is not exactly a given.

Striker Burak Yilmaz has scored all four of those goals, and Galatasaray will need to rely on more than just him moving forward. The United defense will no doubt key on him throughout this match, forcing Galatasaray to find other ways to beat them.

With an opportunity to take complete hold of the second and final qualifying spot from Group H, the table is set for them to do so. Having struggled as of late at home, Galatasaray will look to this match as a way to reverse that trend.

If they can't, their hopes of moving on from the group stage could slip away very quickly.
