High School Football Playoff Game Ends in a Couple of Miracles

There are a couple of Illinois broadcasters who most certainly believe in miracles right about now.

I know because you can hear their certainty in their impassioned shouts after one high school team did the unthinkable and came back with just seconds remaining to win a playoff game.

Thanks to With Leather who spotted this awesome video featuring a couple of plays that ended with some high school commentators losing their minds.

It all goes down in a November 3 game between Rockford Boylan High and Oak Park Fenwick High, with Oak Park winning the game by a touchdown late.

Then something remarkable happened.

Boylan’s Peter Cimino goes 90 yards into the end zone, all the while an epic call is being made. In fact, Gus Johnson would be jealous of the shouts that took place at the very end of this amazing run.

The video would be great if that were it, but Boylan decided to get greedy and go for two points. It was win-or-go-home time.

The two announcers proclaim, "this is the ball game." They end in hysteria with shouts of, "do you believe in miracles?"

Thankfully, we get the answer that yes, these two do indeed believe in miracles. So in all, we have a 90-yard run, a gutsy two-point conversion and a pair of maniacs foaming at the mouth as some miracles take place in Illinois.

Yes, this video was rather remarkable.
