The ATP World Tour Final is underway at the O2 Arena in London, and Day 1 didn't bring many surprises on the singles side of the tournament. On the doubles side, however, there was a major upset in the round-robin portion of the matches.

There have only been four matches so far, but Monday has set the stage for the rest of the way in the sport's final week of action.

Here's a look at the scores from Monday's action, highlights from both singles and doubles matches, a brief recap and what to watch for in tomorrow's slate of tennis from O2.

Recap

Both No. 1's played on Monday but both weren't victorious. On the singles side, Djokovic took care of rival Tsonga in straight sets. Tsonga was great during the first set. All over the court from side to side, he made things difficult for Djokovic and took the game into a tiebreak, which Djokovic would eventually win.

The second set saw him run out of gas, and Djokovic took it home 6-3. In the other singles match, Andy Murray continued his hot 2012 with a comeback win over Tomas Berdych. After dropping the first set, Murray roared back to claim the next two in front of his hometown fans.

In the doubles draw, highly-touted American doubles partners and brothers Bob and Mike Bryan lost their first match to Spanish team Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez. As ATP coverage guru Simon Cambers noted, the crowd was really rocking during this one.

"

Really enjoyable doubles between Granollers and Lopez, beating the Bryan brothers. Great to watch—doubles players responding to full crowd

In the other doubles match, No. 2 seed Mirnyi and Nestor had a thrilling comeback over Lindstedt and Tecau, taking the former to 1-0 in the Group B standings and giving the duo a firm path towards the semifinals.

Highlights

The first singles match of the day was a rematch of this year's US Open semifinals, and Murray and Berdych squared off again. Berdych took an early advantage, but Murray played off the emotion of the crowd for a big win.
