Lead Actress Cast in WWE Studios Movie '12 Rounds: Reloaded'

Canadian actress Cindy Busby has revealed she is set to play Randy Orton's wife in upcoming WWE Studios movie 12 Rounds: Reloaded, the sequel to 2009's 12 Rounds, on her Twitter account.

Taking about the role, Busby posted:

Yup! Playing @RandyOrton 's wife in 12 rounds! Say what?!?

"

She later noted that read-throughs and rehearsals started earlier today for the straight-to-DVD flick, which officially begins production on Sept. 26, in Vancouver, Canada.

While not a household name, Busby has nonetheless appeared in several well-known television shows, including Supernatural, The L.A Complex and The Secret Circle.  She is perhaps best known to Canadian viewers for her supporting role in hit CBC series Heartland.

The movie, which is directed by Roel Reiné, centers on an EMT targeted by a criminal mastermind and forced to undergo (you guessed it!) twelve gruelling and dangerous tasks after his wife's life is placed in jeopardy. 

Yes, WWE Studios is using the old "wife in danger" plot once again. The Marine, The Marine 2 and 12 Rounds had similar premises. However, The Marine: Homefront, WWE Studios' next movie, differs greatly and is much more original: this time it's the hero's beloved sister in danger.

And that's not even getting started on 12 Rounds: Reloaded's rather flimsy premise that yet another evil criminal is going to devise twelve complicated tasks to put his foe through (did he get the idea from watching the first 12 Rounds, perhaps?)
