Let's get ready to rock, football fans. The Cowboys vs. Rams kick off at 8 p.m. ET in the preseason's all important third game.

What to Watch For

How the Cowboys first team offense moves without tight end Jason Witten. Witten is out with a spleen injury with no return date. So with John Phillips and James Hanna working the one and two role, how will that impact Jason Garrett's play calling?

For the Rams, I'm interested to see how former Cowboys draft target Janoris Jenkins moves in the secondary against Dez Bryant and Miles Austin. Did Dallas miss the mark by not drafting the former Florida Gator?

COWBOYS WIN 20-19

The Cowboys bested the Rams 20-19 in a game where most watched to see what Dallas' first team offense would do.

Quarterback Tony Romo ended his night early in the second quarter but not before notching two touchdowns, 198 passing yards and a quarterback rating of 151.4.

The band of slot receivers did their best to make their case for starter. Dwayne Harris had the best night as he scored two touchdowns, a 61-yard pretty bomb from Romo and a 38-yard scamper amongst a mess of missed tackles by the Ram defenders.

Tight end John Phillips did well filling in for Witten and Kevin Ogletree looked stable and consistent.

It was a good night for the Cowboys as they won a ballgame but most of all the offense looked good. Well, sans the offensive line but that is another article.
