Arsenal Transfer Report: Santi Cazorla to Complete Arsenal Move Next Week

Arsenal transfer target Santi Cazorla looks set to complete a high profile move from Spanish club Malaga next week.

Sky Sports are today reporting that the winger will soon arrive in London to undergo a medical ahead of a proposed £17.3 million transfer.

It is also believed that Cazorla is delighted with the prospect of the move, and is looking forward to joining the Gunners ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.

The deal will cost Arsenal a couple million pounds more than Malaga paid for Cazorla's services just last summer, however, the player's ability is beyond question.

The Spanish International has appeared 45 times for country, scoring an impressive six times.

That statistic is particularly noteworthy—Cazorla having earned a regular place in a team that has recently come to dominate world football.

The player truly came to the attention of Europe's top clubs whilst at Villarreal, playing for the Yellow Submarine between 2007 and 2011.

Cazorla's playing style is similar to Manchester City's Spanish recruit, David Silva—that of a tricky speedster who is able to change the game with one moment of genius.

With wantaway striker Robin van Persie set to leave the club this summer, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has looked to rebuild his team, having already completed the signings of Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud—two forwards.

With the league set to commence in less than a months time, Arsenal fans can be confident that, all going well, the team will compete for major honours.
