WWE News: Report on Why Kharma Was Released

Hot on the heels of Kia "Kharma" Stevens confirming on her Twitter account that she has been released from her WWE contract, news has emerged about just why the former TNA Knockout was let go.

In this week's (subscribers-only) Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzerย givesย an update onย Kharma's departure, noting thatย sourcesย haveย indicatedย she and WWE were having trouble coming up with the right idea for her long-awaited return to the company, as well as claims of some personal issues on her part:

Meltzer writes:

"

The situation with Kharma is that she was in Florida training to return, but got the knock for being out of shape, hard to work with and stubborn about suggestions of how they wanted her to change her character. She had been losing weight.

"

Consideringย Kharma's immense talent (she is easily one of the best women's wrestlers in North America) and the dire state of the company's women's division, it is deeply regrettable that she and WWEย could not put aside their differences and figure out some way to get her back on the mainย roster again.

It's not all bad, though.

Interestingly, in the tweet confirming her exit, the former Diva noted she would potentially be back in the company at someย point in the future. Let's hope so.ย
