According to ESPN's Ric Bucher, the Utah Jazz and Randy Foye have agreed to a one-year deal. The free-agent shooting guard joins the Jazz after playing last season with the Los Angeles Clippers.

I'm on vacation but you know I can't pass a chance to serve and honor Jazz fans: Randy Foye signs 1 yr deal. Solid pick-up.

Foye started 48 games last season for the Clippers and played in 65 games. He averaged 11 points per game with 39.8 percent shooting, playing 25.9 minutes per game. He was an efficient scorer when needed.

Zach Links of Hoops Rumors writes, "The Mavericks, Rockets, Hawks, Suns, and Bucks were all said to be interested in Foye as well but the Jazz were never known to be among his suitors."

The Clippers signed Jamal Crawford this offseason as Foye fell out of favor in Los Angeles. With the Clippers going in a different direction, it was not expected that Foye would be back in L.A. this season.

With the Jazz, Foye adds some shooting to a team that could desperately use it. Foye isn't known as a pure shooter, but he did shoot the three-ball at 38.6 percent last season. As a team, the Jazz finished 27th in three-point percentage, shooting just 32.3 percent from downtown.

Foye is a solid pickup for the Jazz, who have been relatively quiet this offseason. The team is still trying to rebuild after the departures of Deron Williams and former head coach Jerry Sloan.
