No Way Out took place on February 15, 2009 at the KeyArena in Seattle, Washington. The card consisted of five matches where the main event was the Raw Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight Championship which was to be contested among John Cena (c), Kane, Rey Mysterio, Mike Knox, Chris Jericho and Kofi Kingston.

Now, straight to the results:

ECW Championship: Jack Swagger(c) vs. Finlay

Finlay shocked Swagger after the All-American American's first defeat in the land of extreme since his debut in mid 2008. So, that night, the fighting Irishman took the challenge from the beginning.

The action took back and forth until Swagger hurled Finlay into Hornswoggle, sending the Irishman's son to the floor and then hit the gutwrech powerbomb for the victory and retaining the title thus.

No Holds Barred match: Randy Orton vs. Shane McMahon

Shane McMahon hoped to use this match to sacrifice himself for destroying the Legend Killer and thus make him unable to compete before Wrestlemania xxv. And Shane took the opportunity from the beginning.

But it was impossible when the Legend Killer along with his allies, Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase attacked him throughout the match and ending it viciously after an RKO by Orton on Shane O'Mac for the victory.

All or Nothing match: Shawn Michaels vs. JBL

Shawn Michaels and JBL fought tooth and nail, with Michaels giving everything he had within him to ensure that he beat his boss, JBL, and get free from his stinking contract with the Longhorn Loudmouth. After a long, hard-fought battle, HBK gave the Sweet Chin Music to his boss and pinned him to get released from his contract forever.

Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship: Edge(c) vs. Big Show vs. Undertaker vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Vladimir Kozlov vs. Triple H

Although this wasn't the main event of the night, still all the wrestling fans wanted to see who would survive in a fierce battle including five former world champions and an undefeated Vladimir Kozlov.

The first two men in the match were Edge and Jeff Hardy. The two battled it out in the demolished  structure until Hardy pinned the champion Edge after a small package. The third man to enter the match was the Moscow Mauler, Vladimir Kozlov, who was eliminated by the Phenom after a last ride.

The next man to be eliminated was the world's largest athlete, Big show after a suplex by Undertaker, pedigree by the Game and a swanton bomb by Jeff Hardy.

Undertaker eliminated Hardy after a tombstone piledriver leaving him and Triple H. The former elimination chamber winners battled it out to determine the new WWE champion, and Triple H won it after a pedigree on Undertaker to regain his lost throne.

Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight Championship: John Cena(c) vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Kane vs. Mike Knox  vs. Chris Jericho

Although Kofi Kingston was scheduled to compete in this match, Edge, who had lost his WWE title earlier that night, attacked the Jamaican superstar and substituted him for Kofi in the match.

The first two men to fight were Mysterio and Y2J. They fought for sometime until Kane entered the match and started his destruction. Eventually, Kane was the first man to get eliminated after a codebreaker from Jericho and a seated senton from the top of a pod by Mysterio. Mike Knox was the next man to go out from the match after a codebreaker by Chris Jericho.

The champ, Cena was taken out by Edge, Mysterio and Y2J and was eliminated shortly after a 619 by Mysterio, codebreaker by Jericho and a spear by the ultimate opportunist, Edge. Mysterio then eliminated Edge after a roll up leaving him and Edge as the last two men.

Mysterio fought Edge valiantly to win his second world title but came short to it after Edge pinned him by spearing him and thus becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion.
