WWE News: The Miz Impresses Backstage; Big Push Set for This Year?
from jonathanhoodshow.com

As those who followed the Money in the Bank PPV no doubt are aware, The Miz has returned to WWE after filming The Marine 3. Now, according to a Wrestlezone report (via F4W), WWE is impressed enough to possibly put him back in the main event:

According to F4WOnline.com, everyone backstage was pleased to see The Miz make his return to WWE at last night's Money in the Bank PPV. The feeling is that The Miz has improved his look while he was off TV shooting the Marine 3, and that he will be pushed as a top heel in the fall.

This is huge news for both Miz fans and for WWE fans in general; WWE has been seriously lacking in star power and new angles the past few months. While feuds like Bryan-Punk have been very good and Dolph Ziggler's convoluted rise to the top has led to a potential title run for him, there has not been a lot else to write home about in WWE. John Cena has been mired in a feud with John Laurinaitis; Triple H is in a holding pattern with Brock Lesnar; Big Show is going nowhere. You get the picture.

With The Miz set to return—and get a big push—WWE has another main event heel to play with and put into big angles. The Miz, for whatever reason, got de-pushed in recent months, but if WWE is high on him again then he is a welcome addition back to the main event picture.

His most logical feud is with Cena (given their history), though a feud with someone like Kane (who has...turned face? Yes?) or Chris Jericho (who could turn face if needed) could help re-establish him as a player. Let's not forget that Miz is one of the few heels to retain his title at Wrestlemania, and he was at the very least entertaining as champion; if he were to get booked correctly as a main event, he would be able to help them out quite a bit.

Thoughts? Do you think Miz is a good choice to add back to the main event scene?
