Atlanta, Atlanta! What a day!

What a day in Atlanta!  I know it was not one of the most competitive races, but it is sure worth writing about.

One thing that really burns me is that Tony Stewart decided to open his big mouth again and complain about the tires.  The other thing is these "phanton caution flags" we see appear out of nowhere. And finally we had a little historic finish as well.

First and foremost, there is Tony Stewart.  He is a really good racer, but he does not know when to keep his big mouth shut! 

Last year he almost got kicked from the Nextel or now Sprint cup sereis because of comments on NASCAR's attitude and ideas to improve the sport. 

But now he goes off and complains about the tires saying, "That was the most pathetic racing tire that I've ever been on in my professional career... Goodyear can't build a tire that is worth a crap. If I were Goodyear, I would be really embarrassed about this weekend and what they brought here. It didn't keep us from winning the race and how we got to second, I don't know." 

He also said to let Goodyear's compitors in the race.  Tony, you still finished second.  Everyone has the same tires and no one else complained about the tires as much as you did. 

If you have a problem take it up with NASCAR privately.  I can understand if it was the track that was bad, like Earnhardt stated. 

"This tire at this track, it was just a poor combination"  You just don't complain about a major sponser to NASCAR on public television when will you learn.

I also saw those weird ''phantom caution flags" as well.  Why should NASCAR take all the hard work from the hard racers.  I know that NASCAR wanted to make the race close early in the begining, but who cares if the leader laps someone. 

It happens people get lapped all the time, but guess what people get that lap back.  Either it is through hard racing or just luck.  A debris caution, come on!  It is like given the drivers about to get lapped steroids or something.  NASCAR does not need a Mitchell Report!

Finally on the flip side of the coin, Team Toyota got its first win inSprint Cup history.  Kyle Busch is a great driver and props to him, but he does not need to pass his own team at the end of the race. 

Thats how people lose races, but he was on fire and I dont think he could slow down!
