Drake and Chris Brown Offered $1 Million to Fight: Who Would Win?

In light of their wild NYC brawl at a club, in which numerous innocent bystanders were injured, including the Spurs Tony Parker, singer Chris Brown and Rapper Drake have been offered $1 Million a piece to have a celebrity boxing match by promoter Damon Feldman.

While I doubt the match will ever materialize, it's interesting to speculate on who would win, and why. I've broken down the salient factors in numerous different boxing matches in my time at B/R, so why not this one?

Here are few key points in examining who would win this matchup between two guys high on the pound-for-pound list of music.

Drake's Weight Advantage

If they were to have a fight, I think that the weight advantage for Drake would be one of the major factors in the outcome. While they're both about the same height, 6'0", Drake is substantially heavier. Drake looks to be at least 180 pounds, while Breezy is probably 150-155.

Drake would be able to use his superior size to bully Brown if they began to wildly brawl, which in all likelihood would happen, as that's usually what people who don't know how to fight do when they put on boxing gloves.

Brown would need to stick and move, as I don't think he could go toe to toe with a guy that's three weight classes above him for three rounds.

Chris Brown's Footwork

I don't have any facts to back this up, so I'm just going to go out on a limb and assume that Chris Brown is a better natural athlete than Drake. To be able to dance like he does requires a lot of coordination and muscle memory, which is a trait shared by a lot of great athletes.

So, how could he use this to his advantage? Brown's footwork is undoubtedly superior to Drake's and this would be his easiest was to find success against Drake. Drake will likely come forward in straight lines trying to swing solely at his opponent's head.

Brown must anticipate this, and use his lateral quickness to step around Drake's punches and hit him from angles. This will confuse the hip-hop star and cause him to get overly aggressive and tire him out. If Brown does this, he'll likely have an easy night at the office.

Their Anger Towards One Another

This is, without a doubt, the most important factor that will influence the fight. Apparently, the beef between these two stems from a note that Drake sent to Brown about Rihanna. They definitely have a high level of anger towards one another, and Brown will be looking to even the score after Drake (or a member of Drake's entourage) gave him a deep cut on his face.

Whoever controls his anger more will win this fight. In boxing, anger can only get you so far. If you go into a fight with an angry mindset, your effectiveness will be limited and your cool-headed opponent will be able to take advantage of your mistakes.

At the end of the day though, both of these guys are pretty soft and I bet a fight between them would be pretty lackluster. I don't think Drake would want to get hit at all, and Brown would just go wild for a round and then be exhausted.

So, who am I picking if this fight somehow comes to fruition? I'm rolling with Chris Brown to defeat Drake, likely by unanimous decision.
