With the Miami Dolphins set to be the focus of HBO's Hard Knocks this season, the thought was that the show could be a little dry—but things could spice up a bit with the likes of wide receiver Chad Ochocinco.
Ochocinco was released by the Patriots this past Thursday following a very rough one-year stint with the team. No. 85 failed to gel into New England's offense as he was a non-factor all season with a total of 15 receptions for 276 yards and just one touchdown.
Ochocinco could very well be a good fit in Miami's offense, run by newly-hired offensive coordinator Mike Sherman. With the trade of Brandon Marshall to the Chicago Bears, Miami was left with no true No.1 wide receiver. Davone Bess, Legedu Naanee and Brian Hartline lead way for the team's receiving corps.
It doesn't matter who lines up at quarterback for the Dolphins in 2012. Ryan Tannehill, David Garrard and Matt Moore would all have loads of trouble without a true No. 1 to which to throw. Ochocinco just might be able to bring that to the table in South Beach.
